 After reading hundreds of books on
African hunting, my wife and I finally booked our first hunt with
Hannes. Two more safaris were to follow after the first. From hunting
multiple plains game on our first trip, to hunting three of the big
five on the second and third, the first of which was my lioness and on
my last safari I was successful in taking both my leopard and cape buffalo!
From hunting, lodging, meals and the new friends we have made, we

 I have now concluded my third trip
with you and the last being our first Dangerous game hunt together. I
would like to tell you that it just gets better and better. The
Cape Buffalo hunt, for the 43”x 16 ˝”
monster we were successful in taking, was one of the most exciting I
have had in the many I have been on. Your assistance in overcoming my
Bushbuck curse was fantastic as it turned out to be the 1st of the
3 subspecies I was able to take last year. As always your skills as a
professional hunter are unmatched, and your camps are of the highest
quality and your have every imaginable creature comfort available to
us. The quality of the animals I have had the privilege to hunt with
you is unsurpassed in my 12 safari experience and your properties are
large and in great condition. The dangerous game hunts you offer both
in and out of South Africa, have been in some of the best areas
available and the hunts have all been fair chase and challenging. I
look forward to 2010 when we travel
to Zimbabwe for Buffalo and Sable and want to wish
you all the best until we find ourselves together again. Don’t
forget to call when you run into the next “last minute

 As an avid hunter, Africa has always been a
dream of mine. But as someone who has experienced the best and worse of
outfitters both here and abroad, I was prepared for the actual hunt to
fall short of my expectations. Thanks to Limcroma Safaris, my dream
became a reality and it just keeps getting better!
Limcroma Safaris has truly taken me to another level. From
my initial plains game safari five years ago, to a recent dangerous
game hunt in Zimbabwe, Limcroma continues to maintain the same level of
excellence. The owner of Limcroma, Hannes Els is not only a true
friend, but someone I trust with my life.
Over the past 5 years I have hunted with Hannes and the
Limcroma staff four times. During that time I have taken a variety of
different plains game including, Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck, Zebra,
Gemsbok and Sable. In 2008 I made the jump from plains game to
dangerous game and thanks to Limcroma, brought home an exceptional Cape
Buffalo and a world-class Leopard. The experience is one I will never
forget and I give all the credit to Limcroma Safaris. In every
circumstance Hannes and his staff displayed a level of expertise and
professionalism that left me feeling safe and secure.
Three of the four trips I’ve made to Africa have been
in the company of my wife and although she’s not a hunter,
Limcroma devotes just as much time and energy on her experience as they
do mine. From the moment we arrive her every need is catered to
and whether she accompanies me on the hunt or sets off on a shopping
safari of her own, the Limcroma staff is always ready and willing to
accommodate. I would encourage any couple to make this trip together
and take the time to experience everything this wondrous country has to
offer. Thanks to Hannes we have seen such amazing sights as Victoria
Falls, Cape Town and Kruger National Park.
I’m already planning my next trip to Africa to hunt
Giant Eland, Elephant and Lion and there is no question it will be
under the watchful eye of Limcroma Safaris. As always, they will assist
me with everything from travel arrangements to the preparation and
shipment of my trophies home.

 Selecting a destination for a first-time safari can be a
challenge for the hunter wanting an experience of a lifetime. When
introduced to Hannes Els by a close friend who had hunted Limcroma, I
knew I had found the professional hunter I was looking for. My wife
Betsy and I went to Limcroma for the African safari I had always
dreamed about.
First, let me tell you what you can expect. Hannes' camp accommodates
six guests and is both beautiful and luxurious. You will sleep like a
baby, dine on gourmet meals and have daily laundry left on the bed when
you return from the evening hunt. The staff is there to make sure you
have everything you might need.
You will be guided by a true professional hunter. Hannes and the other
PHs at Limcroma are highly respected and are experts at finding and
selecting game that is way above the norm. I was amazed at their
knowledge and skill at tracking, stalking and judging animals. On our
return flight I spoke with other hunters about their experience. Some
had PHs that were unfamiliar with the area they were hunting. At
Limcroma, your PH will know every inch of the many thousands of acres
you will hunt.
Now, about the game animals, Wow! You will have a good chance to take
the best of the best. I am not a hunter who goes out for inches, but I
must tell you that I was able to bring home every animal I had on my
priority list and each one exceeds the SCI record book criteria.
One final thought about Limcroma Safaris and Hannes Els; Betsy and I
are already planning our next trip.

 I was very excited about going on
my first safari in Africa, but knew that choosing the right outfitter
would make or break my total experience. After communicating with
Hannes through email and over the phone, and after looking over their
website, I became confident that Limcroma Safaris was the right choice
for me. Man was I right. The accommodations were fantastic and
very comfortable. The lodge, staff, meals, and guides were all
first class.
I bow hunted for 11 days and harvested every animal on my
list. I harvested 8 trophies, including: a Zebra, a gold medal
Blue Wildebeest, a gold medal Red Hartebeest (the first hartebeest with
a bow at Limcroma), a 50" Greater Kudu, a big Gemsbok bull, a 28"
Waterbuck, a big Impala, and a gold medal Sable that is the biggest
Sable ever taken with a bow or gun at Limcroma. To say that I had
the trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. I could not
have planned my first safari any better. My guide, Zwei, was very
knowledgeable, very professional, and very persistent. I could
not have asked for a better guide or better hunting conditions.
The blinds were all very well placed, there was an abundance of game,
and plenty of trophy class animals. I never dreamed that I would
get everything on my list, and I don't think that I would have at any
other outfitter.
My parents were also able to go on various trips to game
preserves, air balloon rides, and elephant-back photo safaris during
our stay in Africa. Hannes was able to coordinate all of these
events with my parents, while still planning my safari. Limcroma
Safaris can accommodate everyone, from parents to the hardcore
hunter. I can not wait until I return to hunt with Hannes again
in the near future. I can honestly say that Limcroma Safaris
provides the ultimate experience in Africa.

 From start to finish the staff at
Limcroma made our first African Safari an experience so much more than
we ever expected. According to my wife this is one “hunting
vacation” any woman would love, because not only do they wait on
you, but they also do the entire cooking and even wash, fold, and iron
your clothes. Wow! From our departure from Johannesburg, our PH-Jaco-
worked to ensure that my wife and I had the best experience the Dark
Continent had to offer; whether it was taking time to explain local
customs or putting us on one of several record class animals Limcroma
delivered! In addition to the actual hunt, the Limcroma Team will see
that your trophies are well handled in the field until they make it to
your front door. Being a taxidermist I see many trophies come
through my door and without a doubt the best prepared trophies come
from Limcroma.

experience, I can honestly say that the quality of animals, level of
service and overall value that Limcroma provides is well ahead of the
competition. One visit with Hannes and his staff and you'll be

 We took our first South African
Safari in 2008. It was a planned father-son trip. After the 18-hr
plane ride, we were exhausted from traveling but we were so excited to
be there that we could hardly rest. We were just amazed; not only
at the beautiful terrain but the staff just seemed to be so excited to
have us there as well.
The PHs were very helpful. They knew everything there was to
know about the animals and seemed to know what we were looking for and
made it happen. The PHs go above and beyond to seek out the trophies
that you never thought were possible.
It was wonderful. Every aspect of the trip was
beyond any expectations.During our 8-day stay, we made memories that
will last a lifetime and plan to create even more memories upon our
return to Limcroma in August 2010. This time he whole family will
joining me. We're always asked how we liked our African
Safari…the first thing we say is "it was unbelievable". Thank

had the pleasure of hunting with Hannes and his team at Limcroma in the
spring of 2008 and all of my high expectations were exceeded.
Lion was the main target, and after hopefully shooting one, the plan
was to go after a few of the plains game. I was lucky enough to
shoot a huge lion early in the hunt and 8 days later, when all the dust
had settled, we had taken a total of 11 animals -- all qualifying for
the SCI record book. The lion and an eland both scored
exceptionally high. Everything from the accommodations and food
to guiding to animal quality and quantity was fantastic; and the
country was beautiful. It was one of the best experiences in my
35 years of big game hunting. I’ll be back soon with my
