Dear
Hannes, A heartfelt SALUTE and thank you to you and your entire
Limcroma Safaris staff and outfit for another wonderful African
bowhunting adventure. I don't think I have ever used the word
"perfect" to describe a hunt in more than 50 years of
hardcore hunting, but you have truly nailed all the details for a
"perfect" hunt for my family and friends. Congratulations for
providing the ideal balance of physical and spiritual needs for a
consummate bowhunting experience. We cannot wait to join you again
as soon as possible. God bless and God speed.

After
years of hunting Africa, I am convinced the choice of safari outfitters is
the single most important ingredient of a great African Experience. Limcroma
Safari’s is head and shoulders above all others I have ever experienced. I
would highly recommend him for any trip you have planned in the South
Africa. He will not only make it comfortable for you and your significant
other, but he produces opportunities for trophies on more land you can
possibly hunt.…Each & Every Day is a new adventure and opportunity for
success.

Hannes,
Both John and I want
to tell you what a wonderful time we had at Limcroma in June of this
year (2006) The Lodge and food were second to none, and the hunting
was tremendous. We were after only Trophy animals but the one taken
were beyond my expectations. You PH's and trackers were exceptional,
and the properties beautiful and full of game. Thank you for an
experience of a lifetime, and we'll see you again in May 2007 with a
much larger group, can't wait. Your a real pro and know how to treat
your properties, and clients. All the best, and be safe.

After
many years of dreaming of hunting in Africa and spending many
weekends at the Dallas Safari Club shows over the years we met
Hannes Els. After our first meeting we didn't have a doubt about
who we would take our first safari with. I have hunted in a
number of other international locations (Argentina, Mexico and
New Zealand) and have very fond memories of all of these places.
But Africa is the one place that stays in your spirit long after
you leave. That is why it is so important to hunt with someone
that can make a memory last a life time. Hannes is the person
that can do it all for you. He and his staff provide the best of
what Africa can offer a hunter and non hunter alike (lodging,
meals and guides) all first class. Our trophies will be some of
the best ever taken with a bow in the SCI book. When you leave
Hannes place you will be not only ready to book your next trip
with him but also a part of his family. I know that each year
when he comes to the States to look for new hunters he will
always be welcome in our home and we will have other people to
send his way. We are already looking at 2008 for our next trip
and have a new list of trophies for Hannes and his staff to be
looking for.

Hunting Limcroma with Hannes Els was to
be my first safari. Despite having read dozens of articles and several books
on Africa, I also absorbed everything possible from fellow hunters that had
hunted Africa. My August 1, 2002 birthday was spent at a Johannesburg South
Africa guest house that was was a way station for hunters of several
southern African countries and there I soaked up a wealth of information
from hunters going and coming from safari. None of this however, prepared me
for the numbers and variety of game found at Limcroma; where there was
plains game everywhere and trophy animals aplenty.
Hannes and his trackers were expert at locating game and selecting record
book animals for us to hunt. In 10 days of hunting, we were able to take all
the planned trophies and a few more. The green scoring done in the field
indicated that all the trophies will make the SCI Record Book when they are
officially scored. There was also enough game spotting, bird hunting, and
sight seeing mixed in to make each days hunt an exciting new experience.
Thanks to the expert game photography of Hannes and his staff, my hunting
partner and I each have a Limcroma Safaris photo album documenting the
safari highlights. This album and the complimentary Limcroma Safaris cap and
shirt led to many interesting conversations on the plane trip back home. The
Limcroma living accommodations and food are equal to that of the hunting and
companionship. This was a first class experience in all respects and I plan
to return to Limcroma with friends and family members.

I
have only been bow hunting for about 8 years and consider myself a novice.
Although I have successfully harvested whitetail, mule deer and a couple of
Canadian black bears, I was a little apprehensive to take only a bow on my
first African safari. Based on my past experience, I considered bow hunting
an iffy proposition. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. I was
simply amazed at the number and quality of animals I saw and the excellent
shot opportunities I experienced. I had a wish list of four animals and
actually saw every one of them on the first day. I harvested six trophy
quality animals in seven days of hunting. We hunted from blinds and also did
spot and stalk hunts that were the ultimate adrenaline rush.
I have been on several guided hunts in
Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Alberta Canada. Some were good, some were a
nightmare. This trip was a dream. I learned a long time ago that your guide
can make or break a hunt based not only on his guiding ability but his
personality. Hannes Els, owner, professional hunter and guide, felt like a
brother to me in the first five minutes of the trip. I learned more about
archery and bow hunting in the first three days at Limcroma than I had in
the past 8 years. Every detail was covered, from the special shot placement
required on African plains game to the secret scent covering techniques
Hannes learned hunting African game since he was five years old.
The accommodations were also beyond my
expectations. I had seen photos of the Chalets, but they simply did not do
justice to the real thing. The food was excellent and everyone on the
Limcroma staff felt like old friends within minutes of meeting them. The
trackers were simply amazing. The sandy soil was literally covered with
animal tracks but these guys always knew which belonged to the animal we
were after.
When I compare this trip to some of the
guided Elk, Black Bear and Deer hunts I’ve been on, I have to say this was
the best bang for the buck I’ve ever had. I can hardly wait until next year
for my next Limcroma Safari.

I
planned my first safari, with Hannes Els and Limcroma Safari's, back in
2003, for the 2005 season. I've since hunted the following 2 years
consecutively and have book 2007. My wife ( non-hunter ) has
accompanied me on each safari and has enjoyed experiencing whole the
experience, with me.
Trophy's taken
include Kudu, Gemsbok, Sable. Impala, Waterbuck and Zebra. The 2007
season will be devoted to Cape Buffalo and Leopard.
Limcroma Safari's
offers a full range of safari options for you and yours, just ask Hannes
about them. Limcroma Safari's offers you quality, value and performance
not withstanding. First/class lodging, meals and a top/notch
professional hunting staff. Hannes and his staff deliver unparallel
experience, inside knowledge and planning for you and your hunts. You
can trust him, I do ! So live it...you will not regret it.
Selecting
a destination for a first-time safari can be a challenge for the hunter
wanting an experience of a lifetime. When introduced to Hannes Els by a
close friend who had hunted Limcroma, I knew I had found the professional
hunter I was looking for. My wife Betsy and I went to Limcroma for the
African safari I had always dreamed about.
First, let me tell you what you can expect. Hannes' camp accommodates six
guests and is both beautiful and luxurious. You will sleep like a baby, dine
on gourmet meals and have daily laundry left on the bed when you return from
the evening hunt. The staff is there to make sure you have everything you
might need.
You will be guided by a true professional hunter. Hannes and the other PHs
at Limcroma are highly respected and are experts at finding and selecting
game that is way above the norm. I was amazed at their knowledge and skill
at tracking, stalking and judging animals. On our return flight I spoke with
other hunters about their experience. Some had PHs that were unfamiliar with
the area they were hunting. At Limcroma, your PH will know every inch of the
many thousands of acres you will hunt.
Now, about the game animals, Wow! You will have a good chance to take the
best of the best. I am not a hunter who goes out for inches, but I must tell
you that I was able to bring home every animal I had on my priority list and
each one exceeds the SCI record book criteria.
One final thought about Limcroma Safaris and Hannes Els; Betsy and I are
already planning our next trip.

Finding
a quality outfitter in a foreign country can be a difficult task. When I
decided to book a South African plains game hunt, I contacted about a dozen
companies for information. Only one of the booking agents, Tim Macmanus, had
the courtesy to actually call me on the phone to discuss what kind of hunt I
wanted. The first conversation with Tim was very informative and congenial
and I got a feeling that I had already found my outfitter. Being cautious
however, as any potential client should, I kept researching other outfitters
as well as contacting former Limcroma Safaris clients. Having been a hunting
guide in Oklahoma, Idaho, and Alaska, I am familiar with the guiding
business. My professional experience with outfitters has taught me to be
very vigilant in choosing whom I associate with. I decided Limcroma was the
best choice, and in hindsight have absolutely no regrets. After my decision
to hunt with Limcroma, Tim and Hannes Els, owner of Limcroma Safaris,
orchestrated a fabulous plain’s game/predator hunt for me.
While at the lodge I became acquainted with all of Hannes’ staff members,
and each one impressed me greatly. The level of camaraderie that I developed
with the Limcroma team was definitely an added bonus to my experience.
Hannes’ team of professional hunters are highly capable of producing a
successful experience for anyone. I have conducted several hunts as a guide
but my first as a client was with Limcroma. My professional hunter Eric
Sorour was a perfect match for my style of hunting, which maximized my
enjoyment of the entire South African experience. In addition to Eric being
an extraordinary hunter, he has vast experience with the wide variety of
game animals available on Limcroma’s concessions. In nine days of hunting I
harvested five trophy animals and four predators, which include a 30-inch
Waterbuck and an 18-inch Blesbok taken with a bow. These two tremendous
trophies, along with two very exceptional Impala, will each make the SCI
record book.
The entire experience, from airport to airport, was better than I could have
possibly imagined. From the extravagant meals that Mia prepares, to the
daily laundry service, to the knowledge of all the guides, I would have to
say that the chances of locating a better place to visit and hunt are slim
to none. Without hesitation I highly recommend Limcroma Safaris for your
provider of an excellent South Africa experience, and can’t wait to meet you
at Hannes’ lodge.

As
a long-time hunter, South Africa for me, was a trip of a lifetime. Because
of Limcroma Safaris, it was all that and more! Hannes and his team made sure
every detail was meticulously taken care of. The success of a trip like this
is completely dependant on the calibre of your PH and believe me, with
Hannes as your guide you will start saving for your next trip as soon as
your first one is over. I know I am!

Hannes,
I wanted to let you and your staff know how thrilled I was with my June 2005
Safari.
Like most hunters, it had always been my
ultimate dream to go on a Safari in Africa. I have always been researching
Professional Hunters and their operations to find one that could provide me
the quality, quantity and variety of animals I was looking for at a fair
price. I have aways maintained the philosophy that I certainly don't mind
spending money, but I hate wasting it. When I discovered Limcroma Safaris,
I knew that this was the place for me.
Your lodge and individual chalets were
first-class and provided all the comforts of home. The meals were
spectacular and the effort that your staff put in each day to see that my
stay was enjoyable was amazing. Of course, all of this means little unless
there are the animals to go with it. In all honesty, the animals on your
concessions truly exceeded my expectations. What really impressed me was
that you and your guides were so concerned with getting me the best animals
available and not just what I thought was "big". I spotted several animals
that I thought were very respectable and was ready to shoot only to hear my
Professional Hunter say, "Nope, it's not big enough". I don't know of any
other Safari operations that would do that. To me, that by itself, spoke
volumes about the character of Hannes Els and Limcroma Safaris.
In the 12 days that I was there, I shot 10
different animals that will all make the SCI record book including a
"monster" of an Impala that will probably score in the top ten ever taken
anywhere. I could have shot many other animals while I was there, but I am
saving those for next time when I return with my family. I invite anyone
with questions or who wishes to discuss Limcroma Safaris further to contact
me.

Early
in the summer of 2006, I received a call from a
friend inquiring if I wanted to join him on a plains
game safari in just 6 weeks. With some quick
planning, I was set to embark on my first bowhunting
safari with Hannes Els and Limcroma Safaris.
From the time I met Hannes
at the airport to the time I had to leave, I
was blown away. His ranch, lodge, food, and staff
are incredible. While on your safari, you will have
many opportunities at mature trophy class animals.
His adobe bowhunting ground blinds are all very well
placed, and are the largest and nicest I have ever
seen. I never had a question go unanswered while
hunting with my PH. They are truly friendly and
extremely knowledgeable.
I am most proud of my big
Kudu bull, but I will carry the memories of my other
fine trophies and the days in the Limcroma camp with
me for the rest of my life.
Peyton Dunn Dallas, Texas
Whats your dream Kudu,
Zebra, Waterbuck, Gemsbok, Impala or an African predator? I don't know about
you but I've dreamed of hunting the Dark Continent of Africa since watching
Tarzan on TV years ago. Dreams I never thought would come true because of
the distance to Africa, the costs, the danger and many other mystifications.
So I finally said to myself, "Enough is enough! I'm not getting any younger,
I'm going to do my homework on Bow hunting Africa and just do it!"
Definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. Adventure, challenge,
paradise, memories for a lifetime and only one regret -- not experiencing
the Dark Continent sooner.
Professional Hunter Hannes Els and my one on one PH Erik were both
knowledgeable, friendly, educational and entertaining. I must have asked at
least a thousand questions before and during the hunt. I've bow hunted in
Alaska, Canada and all over the USA. Slept in Army tents, farm houses,
lodges, boats, cabins and none can match the luxury accommodations of
Limcroma Safaris. Plus the chef to cook what you shoot making you all the
more anxious to taste African delicacies.
I had told Hannes my primary focus was a true trophy Kudu, anything else was
a plus. I was captivated by all the majestic Kudu and dozens of other
species. Erik would often whisper "No not this one, we can do better!" My
trophy Kudu measured 54" giving me a natural high that only bow hunters can
really relate to. The Warthog, Gemsbok and Zebra were all icing on the cake.
I have lived my dreams of so many years and can't wait to get back to a true
bowhunting paradise, Africa the Dark Continent and Limcroma Safaris. WOW!!

Hannes,
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my African Safari with
you! As you know, I’m a hard core bow hunter and I was thoroughly
impressed with your bow set up. It’s obvious that you are a bow hunter
too because you know how to set up for bow hunting. I was also
impressed with the quality of the animals on your ranch. I won several
plaques and a trophy from Safari Club International for the animals I
got at your place.
The other thing I learned while I was there is what a great family
vacation Limcroma can put together. I can’t wait to come back with my
family to do some rifle and bow hunting, tour one of the awesome
National Parks, perhaps visit Cape Town, not to mention many other
possibilities! My family is very excited and we can’t wait to put the
trip together! I’m excited because it’s great to be able to plan a
family vacation that includes hunting and the entire family will love!
Thanks again for the best Safari I could have ever hoped for!

Unlike
most hunters traveling to Africa for the first time, I had never dreamed
of game hunting in Africa. One of my best friends had the dream of
hunting Africa, so on a whim I decided to go hunt birds and plains game
in South Africa with him. He had done his homework which led him to
choose Hannes Els at Limcroma Safaris as our host. With the possible
exception of pheasant hunting, no wing hunting compared to the
francolins, guinea fowl, dove and rock pigeons we hunted in chili pepper
and sunflower fields. Renier Visser did a wonderful job of scouting
productive fields for wing shooting. During our trip, we hunted a total
of 11 days with 1½ days of wing hunting. I took somewhere in the
neighborhood of 100 birds and 8 plains game trophies on my first trip to
South Africa. Having traveled frequently in my lifetime, I have come to
know it is the people I meet while away from home that makes the
difference in a poor, average or exceptional trip. Hannes, Renier, their
families and their staff could not have made me feel more welcome in
South Africa. One dilemma worth mentioning: going forward, it will be
difficult to hunt Texas whitetail deer from a stand!
Whether it is your first hunting trip to
Africa or your next hunting trip to Africa, I recommend Hannes Els and
his staff at Limcroma Safaris unconditionally.

Like many hunters, I had long dreamed of an African Safari. I have had good
hunts with other outfitters, but Hannes topped them all. He personally saw
to all aspects of the hunt. He, his family and staff were extremely
accommodating and detail oriented. My fellow hunter and I were treated like
family. Food and conversation were fantastic. The hunt speaks for itself. In
only 10 days of hunting, my partner and I took 16 trophy class animals, a
number of varmints and spent 1 1/2 days bird hunting, taking 14 different
species of game birds.
The game was so abundant, we easily could
have taken more animals. And all of this without ever feeling rushed.
Several groups of hunters shared my flights both to and from South Africa.
In my discussions with them, I found that none of them had equaled my hunt's
success in terms of either the quantity of game seen or the quality and
variety of game taken. My hunt with Hannes and Limcroma truly exceeded all
of my expectations. I have already recommended Limcroma Safaris to friends
and I will be hunting with Hannes again soon.
