I have now concluded my third trip
with you and the last being our first Dangerous game hunt together. I
would like to tell you that it just gets better and better. The
Cape Buffalo hunt, for the 43”x 16 ½”
monster we were successful in taking, was one of the most exciting I
have had in the many I have been on. Your assistance in overcoming my
Bushbuck curse was fantastic as it turned out to be the 1st of the
3 subspecies I was able to take last year. As always your skills as a
professional hunter are unmatched, and your camps are of the highest
quality and your have every imaginable creature comfort available to
us. The quality of the animals I have had the privilege to hunt with
you is unsurpassed in my 12 safari experience and your properties are
large and in great condition. The dangerous game hunts you offer both
in and out of South Africa, have been in some of the best areas
available and the hunts have all been fair chase and challenging. I
look forward to 2010 when we travel
to Zimbabwe for Buffalo and Sable and want to wish
you all the best until we find ourselves together again. Don’t

As an avid hunter, Africa has always been a
dream of mine. But as someone who has experienced the best and worse of
outfitters both here and abroad, I was prepared for the actual hunt to
fall short of my expectations. Thanks to Limcroma Safaris, my dream
became a reality and it just keeps getting better!
Limcroma Safaris has truly taken me to another level. From
my initial plains game safari five years ago, to a recent dangerous
game hunt in Zimbabwe, Limcroma continues to maintain the same level of
excellence. The owner of Limcroma, Hannes Els is not only a true
friend, but someone I trust with my life.
Over the past 5 years I have hunted with Hannes and the
Limcroma staff four times. During that time I have taken a variety of
different plains game including, Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck, Zebra,
Gemsbok and Sable. In 2008 I made the jump from plains game to
dangerous game and thanks to Limcroma, brought home an exceptional Cape
Buffalo and a world-class Leopard. The experience is one I will never
forget and I give all the credit to Limcroma Safaris. In every
circumstance Hannes and his staff displayed a level of expertise and
professionalism that left me feeling safe and secure.
Three of the four trips I’ve made to Africa have been
in the company of my wife and although she’s not a hunter,
Limcroma devotes just as much time and energy on her experience as they
do mine. From the moment we arrive her every need is catered to
and whether she accompanies me on the hunt or sets off on a shopping
safari of her own, the Limcroma staff is always ready and willing to
accommodate. I would encourage any couple to make this trip together
and take the time to experience everything this wondrous country has to
offer. Thanks to Hannes we have seen such amazing sights as Victoria
Falls, Cape Town and Kruger National Park.
I’m already planning my next trip to Africa to hunt
Giant Eland, Elephant and Lion and there is no question it will be
under the watchful eye of Limcroma Safaris. As always, they will assist
me with everything from travel arrangements to the preparation and
shipment of my trophies home.

in pursuit of dangerous game for my money when it comes down to that

 Selecting
a destination for a first-time safari can be a challenge for the hunter
wanting an experience of a lifetime. When introduced to Hannes Els by a
close friend who had hunted Limcroma, I knew I had found the
professional hunter I was looking for. My wife Betsy and I went to
Limcroma for the African safari I had always dreamed about.
First, let me tell you what you can expect. Hannes' camp accommodates
six guests and is both beautiful and luxurious. You will sleep like a
baby, dine on gourmet meals and have daily laundry left on the bed when
you return from the evening hunt. The staff is there to make sure you
have everything you might need.
You will be guided by a true professional hunter. Hannes and the other
PHs at Limcroma are highly respected and are experts at finding and
selecting game that is way above the norm. I was amazed at their
knowledge and skill at tracking, stalking and judging animals. On our
return flight I spoke with other hunters about their experience. Some
had PHs that were unfamiliar with the area they were hunting. At
Limcroma, your PH will know every inch of the many thousands of acres
you will hunt.
Now, about the game animals, Wow! You will have a good chance to take
the best of the best. I am not a hunter who goes out for inches, but I
must tell you that I was able to bring home every animal I had on my
priority list and each one exceeds the SCI record book criteria.
One final thought about Limcroma Safaris and Hannes Els; Betsy and I are already planning our next trip.

I have traveled all over hunting with my bow and have always had a deep
desire to hunt Africa. Thanks to Hannes and Limcroma Safaris that
dream, as well as my dream to take a world class sable, came true in
July of 2009. I spent ten days hunting with Limcroma Safaris and along
with my ph Renier, managed to take several nice trophies including SCI
gold medal sable, nyala, and blue wildebeest. For a bow hunter it was a
hunting paradise with plenty of game animals and many fine trophies
constantly visiting the water holes and if the rifle hunting is even
half as good then I can think of no other place I would rather go.
Limcroma has one of the nicest lodges I have ever stayed in while
hunting and it is a place that the entire family can enjoy. I was
accompanied on this trip by the woman who is now my wife and even
though she is not a hunter, she still had the time of her life. When
Samantha did not go hunting with me, Hannes and his staff arranged day
trips for her to go to a spa, shopping or whatever else she wished to
do. Somewhere between the excellent hunting, the exquisite food and the
general camaraderie we became close friends with everyone in camp. Our
only regret was that we did not book more days. Hannes and his team
have put together one of the best hunting operations I have ever seen
and I have already booked to return in July of 2011 to hunt lion with
them.

My recent elephant hunt with Limcroma was excellent. We saw, on
average, over a hundred elephant a day as well as a large variety of
other game including huge buffalo. After tracking several bulls,
we finally took an enormous 60 pounder. The camp staff, food, and
hunt met my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone
wanting to shoot a large elephant in wonderful surroundings.
